Leenu Maimanuku

Leenu Maimanuku is a dentist and an academic staff at the Fiji National University and has worked at the dental school in Fiji for 25 years. During this time, she contributed to the expansion of the dental school in terms of staffing, resources, infrastructure and has developed or facilitated development and delivery of several courses and programmes tailored to meet human resources for oral health needs in the Pacific Island nations. She provided academic leadership as programme coordinator, chair of Learning and Teaching, member of the Fiji National University Senate and as the head of the dental school in Fiji from 2010 to 2017.

 

She serves or has served extensively on several local, regional, and international professional bodies including the Oral Health Pacific Islands Alliance, the Fiji Dental Council, the International Association for Dental Research ANZ Division, and the Fiji Dental Association. She is a fellow of the International College of Dentists.

 

Leenu works in a group practice and provides patient care in Suva, Fiji. Her practice focuses on periodontics and orthodontics in which she has received postgraduate training.
